Mastering ME LLC provides outpatient clinical mental health counseling specifically for Arizona residents, led by Ryan Helton LPC, a state-licensed professional counselor. We focus on addressing general issues related to Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief, etc., as well as mild to moderate life-adjustment challenges.
Clients experiencing severe issues, as determined through thorough quantitative and qualitative assessments, will be referred to appropriate psychiatric services, as Mastering ME LLC does not offer psychiatric (medication) support or crisis intervention.
Navigating through anxiety, depression, grief, and various phases of life adjustment can be challenging. Seeking mental health counseling can provide the support you need during these tough times. Ryan Helton LPC specializes in helping individuals manage their anxiety, depression, and grief effectively.
A complimentary conversation with Ryan about what you are experiencing, what you would like to change, and whether counseling with him may be a fit. Afterward, Ryan will send a preliminary Personalized Counseling Roadmap with possible areas of focus and next steps. There is no obligation to schedule counseling.
An Initial Assessment/Intake (qualitative review, inventories, questionnaires, assessments) will be gathered to provide valuable information that guides your counseling goals in addressing issues like Anxiety, Depression, and Grief. This assessment generates a baseline that offers insights, increases awareness of behavioral patterns, and identifies strengths and struggles. This is essential in formulating the goals you wish to target during your mental health counseling sessions with Ryan Helton LPC. We will routinely measure your progress against this baseline.
Mental health counseling involves the essential work conducted during each session, which includes processing successes and progress, addressing ongoing struggles, recognizing patterns (CBT mapping), and developing skills. The frequency of mental health counseling can vary from weekly to monthly, depending on your needs, particularly when dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, and grief. If you're seeking support, consider reaching out to Ryan Helton LPC for guidance.

Clinical counseling begins with an assessment of your concerns, history, strengths, and goals. Ryan works with you to develop a treatment plan and review progress as the work continues.
Sessions may explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, behavior, and relationships. Depending on your needs, Ryan may draw on cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, values-focused, and relationship-oriented approaches to help you build insight and practical skills.
Counseling is tailored to the person and the purpose of treatment. If your needs call for care beyond this practice’s scope, Ryan can discuss appropriate referrals. Coaching is offered separately as a nonclinical service; the Counseling vs. Coaching page explains the distinction.
